One of the earliest ZENITH Chronometer, Cal. 135, SN: 3869940, Case No: 8884007, 35mm stainless steel, made circa 1949, aka “first series”. Powered by famous by manual winding gold-plated 13’’’/30mm Zenith movement Cal. 135 with “Cotes de Genève” finish and a bimetallic, split, screwed balance. Very good unpolished condition, everything original, gorgeous patinated dial, clean and practically untouched movement. The crown is unsigned, but most likely original. Accompanied by its original Zenith book-style box.

Case: 35 mm, stainless steel, three body, brushed and polished, with snap-on bezel and back, No. 8884007 Dial: brushed silver, with outer minute track, applied white gold dart and Arabic markers, and guilloche sub seconds dial; silver dauphine hour/minute hands, and baton seconds hand; Movement: Zenith caliber 135 manual wind, 19 jewels, Swiss lever, chronometer certified, with bimetallic, split, screwed balance and shock protection, micrometric regulator, and gold plated “Cotes de Genève” finish, No. 3869940.
