Extremely rare, fine and historically important 18k Yellow Gold ULYSSE NARDIN, Locle, No. 4148, equipped with English lateral lever escapement and very early date complication, double hunter keyless 50mm pocket watch, made circa 1870s. Dedicated to “Nicanor Ezeyza”, a Basque by origin founder of Nicanor Ezeyza Agricultural School in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

C. Four-body, “bassine et filets”, polished and engine-turned. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and date of the month. Blued steel spade hands. M. 18’’’, frosted gilt, half-plate, English lateral lever escapement, brass escape wheel, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed. Diameter 50 mm.

Watch is in overall good 8/10 condition, running and ready to use!
