Fine titanium BREITLING EMERGENCY Chronometer, Ref. E76321, multifunction pilot’s flyback chronograph wristwatch with analog and digital display and emergency SOS transmitter. Features perpetual calendar with date, day, month and year, world time indication, alarm, micro antenna with aviation emergency frequency 121.5 MHz, and a titanium flexible link Breitling bracelet. The watch is complete with a full flight case including box, the PLB tester, warranty book, COSC certificate, manual, VHS, original purchase papers, service history, extra links for bracelet, screwdriver and even “Certified retailer” sign in original box. The most complete set I’ve ever seen. Bought in January 2005, was fully serviced in 2008, 2011, 2015 ad 2018s.

The locator beacon was designed to activate once the antenna was uncoiled, when it would then send a unique SOS signal on the official aviation emergency frequency of 121.5 mHz, helping rescuers to home in on a downed pilot’s location. For its first five years, the watch was only available for purchase by licensed pilots, but Breitling finally persuaded regulatory authorities to allow them to sell to anyone willing to sign an agreement not to activate the distress signal unless it was in a real emergency situation. More so, according to Breitling, no false alarms were ever recorded coming from a Breitling Emergency watch, and about 20 people were rescued thanks to someone wearing and using a Breitling Emergency.

C. Three-body, solid, brushed, graduated bi-directional revolving bezel, micro antennas between the lugs at 12 and 6, case back with 4 screws and test button to test the emergency function, sapphire crystal. D. Blue with luminous Arabic numerals and indexes, apertures for the digital displays. Luminous white hands. M. Cal. Breitling B76 (ETA 988.352), with quartz standardization. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 43 mm. Full sized bracelet with extra links.

Runs great and all functions work as expected. Fully serviced by Breitling in 2018, emergency function is re-tested in Oct 2022, so the watch is ready for new adventures. Please take a look at the photos for condition. Watch is in great condition 9/10, running and ready to wear or gift!
