Vintage attractive stainless steel 32.5 mm all original Longines Ref. 4492, manual winding Cal. 12.68Z wristwatch, made early 1940s. Featuring original very rare silvered “sector” dial with applied indices and Arabic numerals.

Information from Longines’ handwritten archives: “The original serial number 6’201’384 identifies a wristwatch in stainless steel bearing the reference 4492 and the order number 21666. It is fitted with a Longines manually wound mechanical movement, caliber 12.68Z and was invoiced on 14 July 1942 to the company Savary, which was at that time our agent for Algeria.

C. Three-body, stainless steel, fixed/wired lugs, snap case back; D. aged silvered dial, outer minute track to the 1/5th of second and a subdial for the small second (at 6 o’ clock), silver applied indices and Arabic numerals, steel leaf hands. M. Cal. 12.68z, 17 jewels, bimetallic balance. Dial, case, and movement signed. Dim. 32.5 mm.

In fully working order. Very good vintage condition, minor surface scratches, scuffs and discoloration through the age. Patina on the dial. New old stock vintage open end grey leather strap. No box, no papers.
