Fine, funky and very rare waterproof stainless steel 34 mm Girard-Perregaux wristwatch, Ref. 9034 HG, manufactured early 70’s. Featuring original very unusual hand painted black dial with yellow/green “moon phase” circles (aka “dots”) and matching colourful hands, driven by calibre GP 12.3 (based on AS 1640) manual wound movement. These unusual watches were made between 1967 to 1976. There were many different variations of the dial. These dials and hands were all hand painted thus all have a bit of variation to them.
C. Two-body, solid stainless steel, polished, straight lugs, curved bezel, screw-down steel case back. D. Glossy black dial with yellow/green hand painted “moonphase” circles, steel yellow/green baton hands. M. Girard-Perregaux Calibre 12.3 (based on the AS 1640), manual winding, 17 Jewels. Dial, movement and case signed. Diam. 34 mm.
