One of the most incredible and expensive Cognacs ever released, just 60 bottles of this Hennessy were released for the Queen’s silver jubilee in 1977. A blend of eaux-de-vie aged for at least 100 years from the Hennessy Private Reserves, this is one of the oldest cognacs ever released by the company. As the contents are from a single vintage, all the eau-de-vie comes from from pre-phylloxera vines. A true collector’s item.
The Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II marked the 25th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the thrones of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms. It was celebrated with large-scale parties and parades throughout the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth throughout 1977, culminating in June with the official “Jubilee Days”, held to coincide with the Queen’s Official Birthday.
