Rare Swiss made LONGINES Chronometer, SN: 2844711, Cal. 21.29 in fully working order in its original mahogany deck/showcase box. Made circa 1910s. Item used in watchmaking store windows, circa 1910-1920, never was available for sale. With the plate ‘Le Chronomètre Longines donne le plus exactement l’heure de l’observatoire‘ (The Longines chronometer gives the most accurate time of the observatory).

Matte silver champleve radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and power-reserve. Steel spade hands. M. Cal. 21.29, matte gilt, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with Phillips terminal curve, micrometer regulator (patented by Patek Philippe). Dial, case and movement signed.
