A fine and massive, self-winding OMEGA Seamaster, Ref. 176.004, aka “BIG BLUE” stainless steel chronograph, the ultimate tool watch. Made in 1970s. Original beautifully aged blue dial with original hands, round button chronograph, registers, central minute counter, 24-hour indication, date and stainless steel Omega 1162 link bracelet with deployant clasp. The watch is fully serviced by Omega with official 2 years warranty, until June 2022. The “Big blue” was the first diver’s automatic chronograph truly water-resistant and functional up to 120 meters / 400 feet underwater.
C. Three-body, brushed, unidirectional revolving graduated bezel for decompression timing, screw-down case back and crown, case back with the Seamaster logo. D. Blue with luminous painted indexes, outer minute divisions with 5-minute/ seconds Arabic markers, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 12-hour recorder, 60-minute register by luminous central orange arrow hand, the 24-hour indication by arrow on a revolving disc, aperture for the date. Luminous white baton hands. M. Cal. 1040, copper-colored, 22 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, selfcompensating fl at balance spring. Dial, case and movement signed. Dim. 44 x 52 mm. Thickness 16 mm. Approx. overall length 185 mm.
