Fine and very rare vintage all steel third-generation large 40mm asymmetric Universal Geneve Polerouter SUB, Ref. 869121, with highly desirable Red bakelite bezel, powered by Cal. UG 1-69 microrotor movement, automatic diving wristwatch, made in 1960s. Original untouched black dial in perfect condition, bi-directionnal rotating bezel with no cracks, never polished all steel case, correct signed “U” crystal and the icing on the cake is original UG steel bracelet made by Gay Freres. One of the most legendary diver’s watches, an absolute temptation for UG fans.
Case: Three-body, polished and brushed, screw down case back and crown, graduated bidirectional revolving red bezel for the decompression times. Dial: Black with luminous baton indexes, outer minute/seconds track, aperture for the date. Luminous steel dauphine hands. Movement: Cal. 1-69, rhodium-plated, 25 jewels, fausses cotes decoration, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating fl at balance spring, gold micro rotor. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 40 mm. Thickness 12 mm.
