Vintage rare, fine and elegant 18k White Gold and diamonds ROLEX Cellini Tank wristwatch, Ref. 4138 (Case SN: 6966860), made circa 1970s. The piece makes for a great dress watch for both men and women as it’s on the smaller side. Introduced in 1968, the Rolex Cellini lineup has been home to the brand’s non-Oyster dress watches. Rolex named the collection after the Florentine goldsmith, sculptor, and painter, Benvenuto Cellini, who was known for creating masterpieces during the Renaissance period that are still studied and celebrated today.
C. Two-body, solid 18k white gold, polished and brushed, vertical fluted bezel, hooded lugs, sapphire crystal. Two yellow gold trims with diamonds sets. D. Champagne with roman numerals. Yellow gold baton hands. M. Cal. 1601, rhodium-plated, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring.
