Very rare 18K yellow gold Lemania 35mm chronograph wristwatch with 3 registers, movement no. 767189, case no. 20185, circa 1940s. Calibre LWO 2510, also known as CH27-C12 (C12 for 12h chronograph register) and best known as Omega 321;
• manual winding lever movement, 17 jewels • gold dial, applied yellow gold baton indexes, outer minute track with 1/5 seconds divisions, tachymetre, engine-turned subsidiary dials for constant seconds, 30-minute and 12 hour registers • 18k yellow gold case, stepped lugs, snap-on back • dial, case and movement signed, diameter 35 mm;
The name Lemania refers to the Leman lake bordering the Canton of Vaud. Lemania, which is now part of Breguet, was highly regarded for the quality of the movements it produced and they supplied ébauches to some of the most renowned makers such as Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe. The present watch is fitted with a cal. LWO 2510 movement. This calibre was developed based on CH27-C12 the late 1940’s in partnership with Omega. It is best known as the Omega calibre 321.
