CHF 11,000

Sold

One of rarest, definitely “The King of Cool”, funky LeCoultre chronograph, Ref. E-2644, powered by Cal. Valjoux 72, made late 1960s. Features very unusual vibrant azure blue colour ”Vingnette” dial and round indexes with blue inserts. Very few of these E-2644 are known and rarely surfaces to the public; as such, not much documentation exists for this particular dial design. Great condition, all original, the case appears to be never polished. The watch is paired with NOS vintage blue leather strap to complete the look.

C. Two-body, polished, screwed-down case back, lapidated lugs. D. Bicolor blue and black with applied steel round and blue inlay indexes, outer 1/5th seconds track and tachometer graduation to 1000 UPH, subsidiary dials for the seconds, the 30-minute and 12- hour registers. Luminous steel baton hands. M. Cal. Valjoux 72, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, blued steel flat balance spring.
