The polished curved rectangular case with snap on back, fixed wire lugs, case measures 22 x 37 mm (including lugs). The case is signed IWC, marked 14ct gold and numbered to the back (951418). The hand winding movement IWC Calibre 87 is signed International Watch Co., with 15 jewels and numbered (929508). The champagne dial has Arabic numerals with a subsidiary seconds dial, black outer minute track with five minute markers and blued steel Breguet hands. The IWC calibre 87 has become a coveted collector’s piece over the years. Altogether, 18,400 of them were produced between 1931 and 1947.
