Very rare 33mm double signed 18K white gold AUDEMARS PIGUET, Ref. 5042 (Gubelin Ref. F/254242 ab) wristwatch with diamond-set indexes, retailed by Gubelin, made in 1954. Full set with original papers: “Certificat d’origine” by AP and Gubelin’s “Garantie”, accompanied by original AP box. The watch is powered by manual winding Cal. 2001, No. 58586. Case number is 4228. The dial. It’s do aged. Aged to crazy milk coffee color patina, that have developed over the course of 60 years. Similar watch Ref. 5057 was sold for over 25K by Phillips in 2019. Here we have original pristine natural age looking dial with diamonds, white gold case, original papers!, AP box and NOS Audemars Piguet leather strap.

Three-body, white 18k gold, snap-on case-back, inclined bezel; D. aged silvered dial with applied gold indexes set with three baguette-cut diamonds and eight brilliant-cut diamonds, subdial for the small second (at 6 o’ clock), white gold baton hands. M. Cal. AP 2001, 18 jewels, four positions adjusted to temperatures, monometallic balance. Dial, case, and movement signed. Dim. 33 mm.
