Very rare Swiss made Patek Philippe “Golden Ellipse” / “Ellipse d’Or“ solar powered electric mantel desk clock Ref. 1505 (31477) in fully working order with its original box. Made in the 1980’s in limited quantity.
Case: Gilt brass, rectangular with curved tambour ends, brushed and polished, polished oval bezel, hinged back door, solar panel set in the top. Dial: Oval, royal blue, applied faceted gilt brass baton indexes. Gilt brass baton hands. Movement: 92 mm. circuit board with transistors connected to the photo-electric cell, battery back-up power, buttons for stop/test/frequency. Dial signed. Dim. 20 x 18 x 7.1 cm.
