Rare vintage, pretty cool brushed brass electronic Heuer LED desktop clock, Ref. 732.2, made circa 1973. Back then was advertised by Heuer as a best clock for conference rooms, offices, reception- and living-rooms because of its modern and pleassant aspect, agreeable luminosity and very good visibility for quick and clear legibility. Moreover in their ads was mentioned, that this clock was chosen for the precision instruments of the Jumbo Jet (Boeing 747).
Were produced only for few years between 1973 and 1975. Manufacturing prematurely ceases due to the quick obsolence of an electronic component the provider stops making. Equipped with cutting-edge electronic timekeeping technology, Beckman SP-352 Nixie gas discharge panaplex displays, internal backup batteries, time-base programing switch between 24 or 12 hours display and even 220/110 Volts switch.
Cool looking, sharp and modern LED desk clock – the culmination of Heuer’s quartz clockmaking effort at early 70s, especially in light of the quartz revolution.
